Making Violin #6

Well, today was the big day. I mixed up some clear varnish from Atlantic Violins Supplies with several dabs of the red that Jayne had chosen. I kept adding more red until we were both satisfied by the hue. Then I brushed it on, trying to eliminate dribbles and brush marks. I was only partially successful in both. There will be some rubbing out to do!

The shade is not what we were aiming for, but with more coats should come closer.
