The purfling has been glued into the bottom groove. After being bent into approximate shape and cut to length, a very thin hide glue was applied to the groove using an eye dropper, then the purfling was gently tapped into place. The "C" bouts are installed first, then the long end pieces, ensuring a nice joint at the points.
